You might’ve noticed we ask for some permissions when you install the Fluid Discord bot.
So why do we need these permissions?
- Access your username, avatar, and banner
- This one should be obvious. We just want to see your public username and say hi! This is a default permission of ALL Discord bots.
- Access your email address
- We have a daily email newsletter and this permission let’s us view your email only if you opt in for the newsletter. Don’t want the newsletter? No problem, we’ll never access your email address.
- Join servers for you
- Our bot DMs you the latest stock moves in Discord. Apparently, Discord is dumb and requires you to be in a mutual server before you can receive a DM from our bot.
- This permissions allows us to add you to the Fluid Bot Discord server (and ONLY that server) so we can DM you!
